The establishment of Eden Prestige and Performance in Fleet represents a bold step in the development of our dynamic business, but also a natural progression of what we do best: setting ever-higher standards in both value and service.
I’d like to take this opportunity to introduce Eden Motor Group and the values that have guided me through my 25 years in the automotive sector. In 2008, I founded Eden (GM) Ltd as a joint venture between myself, Graeme Potts, and Vauxhall Motors. Our goal was to grow a motor retail group based on providing the individual service that many associate with smaller companies, along with the exceptional value that usually requires economies of scale.
Nine years on, and Eden Motor Group has built a reputation as one of the most progressive operators in the motor retail industry. We now have 20 retail centres concentrated in southern and central England, and Eden Prestige and Performance sits right in the heart of our business.
One way we’ve achieved our success is by developing a culture that sets us apart. Our colleagues are empowered to focus on genuine customer needs, and our watchwords are openness, integrity and flexibility.
We’re also unusual in that we run a six day working week, opening late by appointment at Eden Prestige and Performance. Rather than providing a substandard Sunday service to our customers, as is sadly often the case in our sector, we prefer to guarantee colleagues a day every week to spend with their families, knowing a good work-life balance has huge benefits for health, motivation and performance. I believe you as a customer will see the benefits of this directly next time you call into one of our warm and welcoming retail centres.
